After Paul Pogba, he has the highest potential of any French midfielder. After Ousmane Dembélé, he was the best youngster in Ligue 1 last season. So why can’t Vincent Koziello start for Lucien Favre’s Nice side? Well, he’s been poor this season, but he only just reached the legal age for alcohol (in America anyways), but his profile is already so complete. Koziello can control games, as he has been dubbed the “budget Verratti” on the French Riviera. He’s amazing in the final third, bringing a killer final ball and goals too, especially in big games. He added to his tally against Lyon and Saint-Étienne, spreading his end product on both sides of the derby Rhônealpin. He’s clumsy at times, but most of the time, he makes defenders look clumsy with his devilish ball-carrying. It may have seemed like an anachronism years ago, but Koziello might have to leave Nice to get more playing time, and the best fit for him would be the awakened giant that is AC Milan.
