46. Nico Elvedi

Elvedi is a versatile defender who can play across the back four, and who should be starting for Switzerland. Quick and poised, he’s one of the best young liberos now. Still, as a stopper, he should take more risks with the ball, and he is too tentative in his passing. In addition, he must maintain consistency, as he has struggled in big games, such as Borussia Dortmund a few weeks ago. Above all, he must improve his passing, it has become evident that teams such as Wolfsburg target him in their press, in order to win possession back. Once he improves his level to that of his Swiss compatriots, such as Ricardo Rodriguez or Fabian Schär, he’ll be ready for the big time.
