Bayern Munich Makes History, Fuelled by Harry Kane’s 18th Goal in 10 Games

This October, Bayern Munich have made an impressive piece of football history. And it’s due in large part to Harry Kane’s right foot. The impressive, history-making moment came when Bayern were facing Eintracht Frankfurt, where the team ended up winning 3-0.

The run-up to history

An early goal from Luis Diaz kicked the game off in electric style, putting the visitors out in front from the off. Soon after, Diaz followed this up with an assist to Harry Kane, who scored a second goal in the first half, putting Bayern firmly in the lead. Impressively, for Kane, this was his 18th goal in just ten matches across all the different football competitions for this season. It also pushes him up to a whopping 103 goals just for Bayern, an impressive stat in itself. The nail in the coffin for Frankfurt was Diaz’s 84th-minute goal, sealing the win.

Now, this is the latest Bayern victory in what is now a 100% start to the Bundesliga season. This win is also helping to keep them on top of their nearest rivals, Borussia Dortmund. But there’s more to it than just that.

A historic run

This win for Bayern Munich also means that they’ve managed to reach that history-making mark. Something that no other team has managed to do, not just in the Bundesliga, but across all five of the top leagues in Europe. And this is, they have won all of their first ten matches of the season. Six of Bayern’s wins have been in the Bundesliga, two in the Champions League and one in the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup.

Not only that, but the aggregate goal score across all ten games is an impressive 38-8. With these states under their wing, Bayern is looking to keep going and set some more records as the season unfolds. All this success is also serving to give Bayern a boost in popularity outside of Germany. More matches are being shown, and of course, there’s the fan base that’s inspired by the current performance, encouraging more players to begin playing.

Harry Kane gives a helping foot

In previous seasons, the England striker has scored 44 and 41 goals respectively for Bayern in the first two seasons. As such, it looked likely that Kane would do it again in the third. And he, of course, did so in style. The opening game for the Bundesliga campaign saw Kane score a hat-trick against RB Leipzig, a feat he followed at Hoffenheim. Currently, Kane has 11 league goals, putting him top of the scoring charts for the German league, a statistic that should be close at hand when live betting football as it can make for an exciting bet whenever Bayern is involved.

As such, another historic achievement was also notched up for the team. Kane is now the first player in history to score as many goals as he has (11 goals) from just the first six Bundesliga games. He’s also currently ranking second on the Champions League table, with four goals scored thus far. Kane is currently running at an average of 1.8 goals per game, which he’s definitely on track to repeat a total goal score of 40+ for the third season in a row. And this will mean he’s going to climb the player ranks within Bayern too, as he seeks to top the all-time goal chart for the club.

What next?

The team is currently riding high on this historic victory. Whether they can keep the momentum going is another thing to consider. The team has a number of top scorers and appears to be working well as a cohesive team. With Kane leading the charge, Bayern is doing very well in its determination to be at the top of the pile when it comes to German football, and they seem able to do so with Kane on their side.

But, there are rumors that Kane might be leaving the team and heading to Tottenham, which could really dampen spirits in the Bayern camp for future seasons if this comes to pass. That being said, the team is doing well, and they’ll have Kane for the rest of this season. Plenty of time to break more records.
