California Calling: Will MLS Teams Lure More International Talents This Summer?

The MLS may have finally made its move into the big time when it comes to soccer transfers. Lionel Messi making the move to Miami FC was a game-changer, but it may not be the last we see coming down the pike.

The surge in MLS interest not only brings more international players but also a lot of betting platforms willing to provide odds to eager MLS fans around the world. For example, the bet365 betting app offers a variety of MLS odds and bets for soccer enthusiasts across the globe.

LA Galaxy. Aside from the LA Galaxy transfer rumors surrounding Olivier Giroud, the club has been busy this summer. They signed Miki Yamane, named to the J1 League Best XI three straight years (2020-2022). He also helped Kawasaki Frontale pick up a pair of J1 League titles, two Emperor’s Cup titles, and a Japanese Super Cup.

Joining him will be Carlos Emiro Garces. While Yamane comes with pedigree, Garces comes with promise. At 21 years old, the Colombian still has his best days ahead of him. He adds a boost of youth and talent to the Galaxy.

Los Angeles FC. LAFC transfer rumors are running rampant as well. The biggest LAFC transfer is no doubt goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. He has been a star for North London in the Premier League, setting every record imaginable. His veteran presence will be a great addition.

Likewise, the club signed Maxime Chanot as well. He is a high-potential player, especially as a defender. Chanot makes plenty of defensive contributions and will bolster the club’s defense overall.

San Jose. The first San Jose Earthquakes transfer of note is Alfredo Morales. Born in Germany, he actually comes from New York City FC after stints with FC Ingolstadt and Fortuna Düsseldorf. At 34, he can hopefully bring veteran goal-scoring to the table.

Finally, there is Preston Judd. The 24-year-old forward spent three years with the Galaxy before ultimately moving over to San Jose. The San Jose Earthquakes transfer was the 35th overall pick in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft and has had an up-and-down career. He will have a chance to find his scoring touch and garner more minutes with the Earthquakes.

Olivier Giroud, LA Galaxy transfer rumors. LA Galaxy transfer talk is always prevalent, but this year it has taken off. Perhaps the biggest rumor and sports news is whether Olivier Giroud will join the club. The French striker is the all-time leader in goals for France and has been a star since the age of 21.

Bringing him in would be a huge boon for the club. It would no doubt be the biggest LA Galaxy transfer ever, not to mention a major acquisition for the MLS as a whole. It will be a great way to combat the LAFC new players signed recently as well.
