35. Alex Meret

Like any other promising youngster in Serie A, Alex Meret is on the verge of signing for Juventus. If tapping up a 19-year old keeper to replace Gianluigi Buffon isn’t the highest form of praise a teenager can get, I don’t know what is. His quick reactions were put on display in the run up to last summer’s U19 Euros in Germany. Meret has done what fellow Udinese product Simone Scuffet couldn’t: take advantage his opportunity on loan. At just 18, he proved himself to be a top shot stopper in a December Coppa Italia match against Lazio, and he has carried that form into 2016. Capable of jaw-dropping stops, his quick reaction skills and good decision making are the money makers, and explain why Juventus are so desperate to get their hands on him to replace Gigi Buffon.
