Card Stats: Dortmund the more likely to become frustrated
There is a lot more riding on this game for Dortmund than there is Bayer Leverkusen. Leverkusen’s league position won’t be affected by the results they get in the final two games of the Bundesliga season, so it’s more of a sentimental focus as they look to send off Xabi Alonso on a positive note.
On the other hand, Dortmund’s season relies on a positive result here. They’ve been well below their expected level for large parts of the campaign, but have managed to pull together a run of form under Niko Kovac which has left them just one point away from a spot in the Champions League next season.
