Match Stats: Roma to Frustrate an Inconsistent Napoli
Roma have made a strong start to this year's Serie A campaign, as they're unbeaten from their opening seven matches.
That includes holding league-leaders Inter Milan to an entertaining 2-2 draw on home soil, whilst also drawing with an improving Como side with ten men.
Napoli have found consistency hard to come by so far this season, as they're ninth in the Serie A table heading into this game.
Three wins, one draw, and three defeats show clear inconsistency, and they'll be keen to bounce back from a defeat to Venezia in their most recent league match.
Roma are a much tougher test, and it'll be interesting to see how Napoli approach this game, as the visitors will have the quality and confidence to cause them problems.
Therefore, we'll be backing Roma to win or draw against Napoli this weekend.
Predictions -
Roma Double Chance @ 1.40
Shot Stats: Malen and McTominay to Continue Trend
Donyell Malen has been in brilliant form since moving to Roma from Aston Villa earlier this year.
The Dutchman has scored six goals in six Serie A appearances this season, and after serving his suspension against Genoa, he'll be expecting to return to the Roma starting XI for their clash against Napoli.
We're backing Malen to have at least one shot on target in this match, which certainly seems achievable given his recent shot on target averages this term.
Malen averages 2.26 shots on target per game in Serie A this season, and the forward has hit the target at least once in five of his six outings and recording 2+ on-target shots in three of those matches.
Scott McTominay is another player I always like to target in the shots market, and he looks worth backing to attempt two or more efforts against Roma on Saturday evening.
After being ruled out through injury earlier this season, the former Manchester United midfielder has made an instant impact on his return to the Napoli team.
The Scotsman was in the goals in midweek, as he scored twice from his seven shots at goal against Norwegian side, Bodo/Glimt.
McTominay went on to have six attempts at goal in Napoli's frustrating defeat to Venezia last weekend, and so it's clear to see that he's a player that isn't shy of having plenty of shots at goal.
Predictions -
Donyell Malen to have 1+ Shots on Target @ 1.36
Scott McTominay to have 2+ Shots @ 1.40
Corner Stats: Napoli and Roma to Rack Up the Corner Count
Our final inclusion for the Napoli v Roma bet builder is for there to be at least nine corners in the match on Saturday.
Napoli's matches have been particularly corner-heavy so far in the 2026/27 season, as they've produced an average of 10.71 corners per game.
Much of that is down to Allegri’s team, who average 6.43 corners per 90 minutes, which is a count that only Juventus and Como are better on in the whole of Serie A so far this term.
All seven of Napoli’s league games this season have had at least nine corners, with the hosts winning nine or more themselves in two of those matches, which includes in their recent defeat to Venezia.
Roma are more than capable of holding their own when it comes to adding to the corner count, as they average 5.14 corners themselves in Serie A this season. They also had eight corners in their win over Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League recently.
Predictions -
Over 8.5 Corners @ 1.83
