Eli Junior Éric Anatole Rainha Kroupi arrived at Bournemouth last summer and has quickly become one of the Premier League’s most talked-about young attacking talents, known for his searing pace and ruthless finishing. Eligible to play for France, Portugal, or the Ivory Coast, Kroupi is extremely efficient in front of goal, which means that when he’s clean through on goal, he very rarely fails to convert the chance.
He’s also got the ability to score various types of goals, coming from either a piece of individual brilliance or via a turnover in possession, which is a regular occurrence given Bournemouth's incredible intensity as soon as they lose the ball. As he showed when he hit the crossbar on Saturday against Fulham, he is a player who only needs a flash of sight of the goal to create a dangerous situation.
However, Kroupi is an incredibly raw talent who is going to need careful management and nurturing to ensure that he fulfils his clearly massive potential. Andoni Iralola has been doing a fine job when it comes to developing Bournemouth’s young talents, such as Kroupi, as well as the likes of Alex Scott. Whilst Iraola will be leaving the club at the end of the season, Bournemouth have already announced the appointment of Marco Rose, who is also excellent at working with young players, as his work at RB Leipzig showed.
