Only Vasco De Gama (24) have scored more goals on the road in Serie A this term than Palmeiras. The visitors come into this game in decent form, having won three of their last five matches across all competitions.

Santos are in a bit of a crisis and enter this game without a win in their last five matches, leaving them in the relegation zone and two points from safety. Santos’ future in the top flight of Brazilian football is still very much in their hands, with Santos having a game in hand on the sides around them at the foot of the table.
Santos have only won five of their 15 home matches in Serie A this season, offering real promise to Palmeiras to open up a lead over Flamengo at the top of the table. Palmeiras ran out 2-0 winners in the most recent meeting between the sides back in November, they had 31 shots on that occasion, which generated an xG of 2.10.

Shot Stats: All About Vitor Roque
Vitor Roque has found his feet with Palmeiras after a difficult spell with Barcelona, in which he never quite managed to break into the first team consistently. Only Kaio Jorge and Giorgian De Arrascaeta (17) have scored more goals than Vitor Roque (16) in the Brazilian Serie A this term.
Roque’s form in Brazil has once again caught the eye of clubs in Europe, with Premier League clubs reportedly ready to make a swoop for Roque in January, or in next summer’s transfer window. Roque has netted in each of his last two games for Palmeiras, so he enters this game with confidence and momentum which can aid him in finding the target.
Roque scored both of Palmeiras’ goals in their 2-0 win over Santos back in November. He had six shots in that game, three of which managed to find the target, so it’s clear that he will offer a real threat to Santos here as the second top scorer in Brazil’s top flight this season.

Santos have picked up 20 more yellow cards than Palmeiras so far this season (82-62). This works out to 2.56 cards per game, which is in line with the card tally they picked up in their 2-0 defeat to Palmeiras back in November, with Santos picking up two yellow cards on that occasion.
Santos only committed eight fouls in that meeting, but there is scope for them to become really frustrated here with where they find themselves in the table, and the expected dominance that Palmeiras are expected to have in this fixture.
