Karim Adeyemi: Salzburg's Teenage Goalscorer

There are three certainties in life; death, taxes and an incredibly talented young striker leading the line for Red Bull Salzburg. In the last three years, the Austrian club has had Erling Haaland, Patson Daka and now Karim Adeyemi as their main centre forwards at different times.

The latest in that lineup is Karim Adeyemi, the 19-year old German who has quickly become one of the hottest players in Europe so far in the 2021/22 season. Adeyemi's talent has been well recognised for years in Austria for a while now, especially after impressing on loan at Liefering but it was last season he started getting mainstream attention.

His breakout 2020/21 season saw him score seven league goals in 29 games (11 as a starter) and provide nine assists as an 18-year-old. He sometimes featured upfront along with Patson Daka or on the left or right wing where he's also proficient thanks to his pace and trickery.
